6 months and the beginning of the 3rd trimester!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!! Jose and I spent New Year's weekend relaxing and doing some things around the house. For New Year's eve we went to our friend's house for a party but were home by midnight to ring in the new year with just the two of us and Martinellis :) We had a warm, sunny day on the first so went for a walk and did some much needed winter clean up to the yard. It took most of the day but it looks much better and I was super excited to have the energy to actually help. We went to a Bennihanna type place for dinner that night with our friends Jen and Anthony. We are super excited about the new year and know we have some BIG changes ahead this year.
The pile of clothes that Spike is laying on was a big treat we got in sunnyvale. Sejal's friend was getting rid of girl's clothes ranging from 6 months to 2 years. Sejal gave us a bunch of newborn clothes that Kiran has grown out of as well. They are all really nice and so now we have bunch of clothes to get us started.
On Wednesday, we officially enter the third trimester. Sleep has gotten a bit more uncomfortable but hopefully I can find some comfortable positions. Jose has been really patient with the tossing and turning. My tummy is definitely out there now! While we were in Sunnyvale we had a super exciting milestone. One morning, Fred was REALLY moving around and so we decided to see if we could "see" her. Sure enough, we we able to see the kicks (or punches?) through my stomach. It is still too soon to see what the body part is, but it is sure exciting to see the movement in my belly. I had the glucose test and a follow up thyroid test but haven't gotten the results back yet. I successfully avoided the scary needle guy at the lab but still got a bruise from the draw.. I hate needles...
We also want to send out a big contrats to Cori and Dan Kraft who welcomed their daughter Isabelle into the world on Dec. 23. We have seen some pictures and she is beautiful! (Mom and Dad are doing great too :) )
