Eight Months old yesterday!

I can't believe that she is already eight months old. She is doing so great and is moving around everywhere. She has gone from inch worming across the floor to doing more of the army crawl. She loves getting to her toys, but the bigger motivators are spike and things we haven't baby proofed. I can put her on her hands and knees and she'll stay there a few seconds but then she slides down to her stomach and she's off. Her manipulation of objects gets better daily. She tries to pull herself up everywhere but hasn't quite figured it out yet. (We are thankful for that because she keeps trying to pull herself up on the bummer in her crib. We are going to remove the bumper and move the height of her crib down this weekend.) She likes standing and can stay balanced with a coffee table or couch for five minutes or more. She is also getting more vocal. Every once in while there is a ba or da but usually just noises or squeals. Her teeth seem to bother her regularly no more after the bottom two have come up. I think she might be starting to dance. If I'm singing or dancing she sometimes starts moving to the music too. Jumping is also a favorite activity - in the jumper or our laps. A big favorite is still crinkly paper- magazines, plastic bags, etc. Separation anxiety is still very bad and stranger anxiety is settling in as well. Luckily it is getting better with Jose but she is no longer okay in the exersaucer while we shower - she cries hysterically once the shower door closes. Even with not wanting strangers to hold her, she is still a big flirt and gives big smiles to people who talk to her and know her name. Since we've been back from our trip to Austin, she has been waking up a few times through the night but we haven't been going in until after 5am when I go into feed her. At 9 months we'll try to get rid of that feeding but it would be okay if it doesn't get eliminated for a while. Her naps continue to be erratic but we try to just go with the flow. I'm so excited to share her first holiday season with her!
