Christmas Morning

We didn't get anything for Kayla besides stocking stuffers because we knew she would have plenty to open from family but Jose really wanted her to have things from us to open so we had wrapped this gift which was something I had bought for her before we had moved but never opened. We never got to it. By noon we were still opening presents! We discovered two thing. It was fun to go at her pace but she had no concept of opening one present right after the other so everything we opened, she wanted to play with right them. So, next year, I may do a 12 days of christmas idea and spread them out some. The other thing we learned was to open and put things together the night before. When she got excited about a gift, it was a half our before we could get all the twist ties undone or the thing put together and by then she wasn't interested :) Live and learn, but we went at her pace and had fun.

So, this gift that never got unwrapped did get used as a seat and a drawing board (while dad put her easel together :) )
